Here’s what teachers say after completing this course:
- I think the timing was effective (not too long). A couple of points that get missed {by co-teachers} were highlighted. This was valuable and can help struggling relationships turn positive.
- I thought the video was great! I love that it wouldn’t take up an entire prep time if two co-teachers wanted to watch. Also, loved the pause and reflect! (I am such a “big reflector" and over thinker!) I think the way you all laid out action steps was so beneficial!
- The pet peeve part spoke to me! The first thing I said to my new co-teacher was, “it’s super rigid of me but I hate when kids follow me around a room or think they can get up randomly to sharpen a pencil…. Boom we are using hand signals!”
- The overall theme of the video to me was about open and honest communication which I truly think can translate to not only co-teaching but also paraeducators, related services and admin.
- I think it’s a wonderful introductory way to build a co-teaching relationship from the ground up!!
